Almost cut my hair - no, wait

I did

almost bought a bigger bike

the one I've been riding forever was pounding the bejeevers outta my back

so I thought

bigger would be better

it wouldn't have been - same friggin' suspension and more weight

the appeal of the smaller bike is it's weight

and

the bike and I have become one

so

change it up, finish what you've started

put a pair of progressive suspension shocks on and that changed the rear a whole bunch

like a new to me ride

stage 3 rejet for the twin mikunis is on tap for this winter

next up

less shiny - less chrome

thought about powder coating a bunch of it and wrapping the exhaust

changed my mind on alla that

everybody is wrapping pipes so I'll just chop a bit off, maybe add a Samson 4 inch cap 

blacken the chrome with the Dupli-Color Shadow kit

don't know anybody that's used it but

should I not care for the results

I can go with powder coating

fender rails and supports for the sissy bar are first - wheels, brake drum and lower fork covers to follow

bike needs bars too cuz the stock bars suck - my riding position is outta whack

in the a.m.
 on my way to work and I'm in the best part of the ride, sweeping curves through the woods

 might be a third of my commute and I hit the
 "posted drops from 55 to 45" part

 not many pay that much mind
 there are few places where a cop can park and lurk but I'm comin' up on one
 and
 there he sits
 I'm in the left and there's a Kia suv tryin' to make time on the right
 there's also a plodding along box truck a good bit in front of the suv
 nobody in front of me so one might think that suv would change lanes and speed on by til it got popped by da cop
 nope
 it decided to blast to the back of the plodding along box truck and will it to go faster
 box truck kept plodding along
 this was the day after the vid posted on the incident in nyc, the stunt clubbers and the suv
 now
 if you watched that vid and read all that was posted you'd think the driver of the suv was in the wrong
 all he had to do was slow for a bit and they would have passed
 instead he chose to flex and challenge their right to act like kids out for a fun run
 I have a kid
 he and his friends do stupid shit
 I did too
 he rear ends one, all stop to see what the fuck
 he runs over another, putting him in a chair for life and he's the victim
 so
 I'm watchin' the suv and I know it's gonna jump lanes
 when is the question
 my front wheel is even with it, the cop is on a ramp to the right facing the wrong way, clocking speeds
 at that instant the suv jumps lanes
 I'd already backed off, knowing that was coming but I did hit the horn
 I knew that button on the bar did something and for maybe the second time I used it 
just wanted to give the suv a "whatthefuckdumbfuck" 
ya know?
 suv blew around the truck and then dove in front of it and slowed - a whole bunch as I'm thinking to self 
"it's only ding dong me"
 enjoying the sweeping curves while I can
friggin' suv slowed so much the plodding along box truck hadda swing around it
moral of that story
